Story

After six years in the event and wedding planning world, Whitney realized her true passion wasn’t just in planning but in curating beautiful event details. It all started with thrifting unique tableware pieces, one find at a time. Then, in 2020, she decided to turn that passion into something more — and Borrow + Bash was born.

Launching during uncertain times wasn’t easy, but Whitney stayed inspired — styling photoshoots, hosting intimate gatherings, and growing the collection piece by piece. As the event world began to thrive again, she knew it was time to expand the vision.

That’s when she met Brianna — a fellow event planner with a keen eye for design and a shared love for intentional details. Recognizing the perfect partnership, Whitney brought Brianna on as part-owner to lead and grow the Southern California division, while Whitney focused on launching Borrow + Bash in Portland. Today, both Whitney and Brianna actively collaborate to expand and nurture the Southern California location, ensuring it thrives alongside Portland.

What began as a specialty tabletop rental company has now grown into a full-service event rental business, offering not only curated tabletop pieces but also chairs, tables, and other statement rentals to bring events to life.
